CM Punk’s controversial promo line about Roman Reigns’ late father continues to create reactions across the wrestling world — and now Kevin Nash is making it clear he absolutely hated it.
While speaking on the March 9, 2026 episode of Kliq This, the WWE Hall of Famer reacted strongly to Punk’s line about burying Reigns next to his father, Sika. When asked whether Punk might have gone into business for himself during the segment, Nash didn’t hold back, making it clear he wants death on the doorstep of whoever came up with that line.
“I don’t like that. I mean, it just—[clears throat]—you know, I’m not even going to make reference to it because whoever’s idea it was, on any level, if death is funny, may it be on your doorstep the next f***** day.”
He also suggested that a line like that likely would have been approved beforehand rather than improvised. Even with his strong opinion, Nash admitted he’d rather not spend too much time discussing the moment.
“I’d imagine something like that would have to go through creative. I don’t think Phil would have just done that to Roman. I’d rather just not talk about it.”
The reaction comes after Punk’s Raw promo referencing Sika, which led to widespread discussions across the wrestling community. Members of the Anoa’i family, including Zilla Fatu and Nia Jax, publicly reacted to the moment, while others have argued that controversial lines are sometimes part of wrestling’s attempt to make rivalries feel more personal.
Either way, Kevin Nash clearly isn’t laughing about it — and his reaction shows just how heated the conversation around the segment has become.
