Kevin Nash’s Christmas Eve took a sharp turn from lobster dinner to unexpected chaos after he hit a dog with his car—and then got hit himself with a jaw-dropping auto repair bill.

The WWE Hall of Famer opened up on his podcast about the wild night. He was driving barefoot, like he usually does, after picking up lobster for Christmas. But before he could make it home, a 90-pound dog darted in front of his Mustang.

“I hit it, but I slam on my brakes. I’m only going 30 to start with,” Nash recalled. “If I hit that dog going 10, I would be surprised because he just kind of—it kind of picked him up like a cow catcher would on the front of a train and he landed on his feet and then he just ran forward.”

Despite the surprise collision, Nash said the dog appeared to be fine and ran off. Still concerned, he searched the area with a flashlight and kept a pistol nearby in case things got dangerous.

“I wasn’t going to knock any doors or anything, but I also wasn’t going to get attacked by a rabid dog,” he said. “I love dogs. I mean, that’s, you know…”

The next day, Nash checked the area again to see if any neighbors reported an injured pet. No one had. But what did show up was a massive car repair bill. His Mustang—identical in front to a Shelby Mustang, as he pointed out—looked like it just needed a minor push-in clip. But the body shop had other ideas.

“Dude told me I had ,000 plus dollars worth of damage,” Nash said in disbelief. “There’s 3 for paint. I’m in an all-white car.”

He went off on the ridiculous charges, pointing out that some of the parts were basic decals—not even paint jobs.

“It’s like a decal... it’s not even a fin’ paint stripe,”* he added. “I’m just looking at the guy... I’m waiting any minute for the dude to hit me with the fin’ baby oil and tell me it’s a freak-off. Jesus. What the f***.”*

In classic Nash fashion, he wrapped the story with sarcasm and a twisted holiday cheer. While the dog seemed to walk away unharmed, Nash’s bank account didn’t. Life hit hard on Christmas Eve—but not as hard as that $3,000 bill.
