Kevin Nash has never stayed silent about politics, but after his explosive 4th of July tweets torching Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act, he found himself at the center of a social media firestorm. Now, he’s finally responded to the backlash—and he’s not backing down.
During the latest episode of Kliq This, Nash addressed the personal attacks he’s received for defending working-class Americans and speaking out against the direction of the country. According to Nash, the hate he gets isn’t from billionaires—but from regular people who target him online just for showing empathy.
“We’re no longer… I grew up in a society where we mattered. We now live in a society where it’s all about me. ‘It’s how I feel, it’s my thoughts, I’m right, you’re a f*, you’re a… whatever.’ What are we called when we’re fing Democrats? ‘Demtards’ or whatever… libtard? Whatever the f. And it’s just like—”*
Nash then dropped the full reality of what it’s like being vocal online:
“I’ll tell you one thing, man. The word retard— it might’ve been cancel culture during that last administration — but if I could get a hundred bucks for every time I get called a f*cking retard on social media? F*ck, man. I’d be driving a fucking Rolls-Royce a different color every day of the week.”
The former WWE Champion made it clear that the criticism doesn’t come from the top 1%. Instead, it’s everyday people who insult him for standing up for the poor, the elderly, and struggling families.
“When I tweet about the working class or someone on Medicaid, I get flamed. But not by millionaires. It’s the guy in the double-wide that gets mad when I say, ‘Hey, we should care about each other.’ That’s where we’re at.”
Nash may be a wrestling legend and a millionaire, but he still connects with blue-collar struggles—and refuses to let internet trolls silence his voice.
Whether you agree with his politics or not, Kevin Nash isn’t playing the middle. He’s picking a side—and standing firm on it.
