Kevin Nash wasn’t in the building for WWE’s massive tribute to Hulk Hogan on SmackDown—but now we know exactly why.

During the latest episode of Kliq This, co-host Sean Oliver brought up the tribute segment, mentioning how WWE honored Hogan after his death on July 24 with a full salute from the roster and a moment of silence.

“I saw the SmackDown tribute—you know, with the wrestlers, the 10-bell salute and all that.”

Nash revealed he wasn’t intentionally skipping the event. He simply wasn’t available at the time—because he was out at sea.

“I was still out of pocket and I was still on a boat.”

The July 25 edition of WWE SmackDown featured a heartfelt farewell to Hogan, including emotional video packages and a 10-bell salute as WWE Superstars filled the stage to pay their respects. But not everyone could be there. Eric Bischoff also missed the show due to scheduling issues.

Even though Nash couldn’t attend in person, his grief and admiration for the Hulkster have come through clearly in his podcast episodes and online tributes. Nash has been vocal about Hogan’s influence on his life and career, making his absence from SmackDown notable—but not a reflection of how he felt.

Kevin Nash’s explanation shows that sometimes life just doesn’t align with the schedule—even during a moment of tribute for a lifelong friend.
