Andrade made a return to AEW on the October 1 episode of Dynamite, but fans were left scratching their heads when he vanished shortly after. Now, Kenny Omega is speaking out on what really happened—and how he feels about it.

While chatting with SHAK Wrestling, Omega opened up about Andrade’s situation. Despite the legal mess keeping Andrade off AEW television, Omega said he was genuinely happy to see him return because Andrade came back looking motivated and hungry.

“To see Andrade back in AEW was a happy moment for me because I felt he really wanted to be there and do well. So now that it’s been sidelined for a little bit, I can imagine that when he comes back he’ll still have a lot of motivation and things will be alright.”

But with Andrade tied up in a one-year non-compete clause following his WWE departure, that momentum has stalled. Omega acknowledged that situations like this—whether it’s injury or legal problems—are just part of the business.

“Of course, when things happen, whether injury or otherwise, you have to pivot — the show must go on. It’s the nature of the beast.”

Andrade’s return was clearly meant to spark a feud with Omega, especially after aligning with the Don Callis Family and attacking him. That angle now sits on ice, but Omega’s comments make one thing clear—AEW hasn’t closed the door on the former WWE star.

If Andrade can sort out his legal issues, the company might still revisit the teased storyline. Until then, as Omega put it, AEW will keep moving forward because that’s just the way it works.
