Nic Nemeth may have his sights set on gold in TNA, but he’s also working behind the scenes to add a big name to the roster—Barbie Blank, better known to WWE fans as Kelly Kelly.

During a new Hollywood Heels interview with WhatCulture Wrestling, Nemeth opened up about his recent appearance at Border Pro Wrestling, where he was accompanied to the ring by Barbie during a flag match against Santino Marella. That moment sparked more than nostalgia—it may have planted the seeds for a TNA run.

Nic said it was clear from the moment she arrived backstage that Barbie still had the energy and presence that made her a standout in WWE.

“As I was out there and I had a couple hours with her during the day. She’s an old friend. I saw—I met her, we met a long time ago. We’ve been buddies for freaking 15 years. And she looks great, by the way. She still gets it. Like, she had so much fun, and it was fun to watch her.”

He also pointed out that fans were thrilled to see her again—and Barbie gave them plenty to cheer about.

“We were embracing, you know, being in Canada and embracing the USA and it was fun to watch her react in the fans because she’s usually forever drooled over and applauded because she’s Barbie Blank and Kelly Kelly.”

Then came the tease. Nic hinted that talks have already started—and even joked about replacing Marella in the process.

“So, it was nice to see her jaw-jacking and letting everybody know that she can still go and she can back her stuff up. So as the entire day went on, I said, ‘You know, you wouldn’t mind coming to do TNA a little bit here every once in a while. You could be in our corner. You could—you could help make matches. You could take Santino’s spot because I don’t care. I don’t think he should be in it.’”

And yes, he’s been texting her since—trying to seal the deal.

“So how about this? How about this scenario? How about this one? And then since I got home, I’ve been sending some texts like, ‘Give any thought to it?’ You know, maybe we can bring in—maybe. So I’m buttering her up as much as I can. She does not need to work. She’s a mother. She’s got it all figured out. She’s done it. But I feel like I could see it in her eyes—she was having a lot of fun the other night. And maybe, just maybe, we could get her over to TNA. And it’s just another sparkly diamond to put on that necklace to let everybody know, hey, come check this show out.”

Kelly Kelly returning to the ring—especially under the TNA banner—would be a major nostalgia hit and add another layer to TNA’s growing roster.
