Keith Lee is one of the mainstays of AEW television lately, as fans continue to support him no matter what. He has been involved with Swerve Strickland for a long time, but they still haven’t had a singles match yet. Now it appears he shut down a fan who wanted him to have a singles match with Strickland.
They were known as Swerve in our Glory they eventually broke up due to an incident back in Full Gear 2022 which led to them splitting up. Strickland turned on Lee and they feuded for a while.
Despite their hatred for one another, the former AEW Tag Team Champions were surprisingly paired together in the Blind Eliminator Tournament for the AEW Tag Team titles. That said, they ended up losing in the end.
After their match on Dynamite, the two went at it on Twitter. A fan then clamored for them to face each other in a singles match. Keith Lee took to Twitter and shut down the fan in a big way.
“Your handle exposes your level of intelligence, so I shall help you out. That is not within my control. I do not book matches. Eventually… it will occur. The time frame, however, is not up to me. Have a lovely day.”
We will have to wait and see what’s next in store for Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland in the coming weeks, as a singles match between the two is certainly a necessity at this point.
