Karrion Kross is set for a big match at SummerSlam this week, but it seems he was supposed to compete at Bloodsport XIV as well but WWE rejected it.
While speaking on The Ringer, Karrion Kross revealed that he was requested to compete Bloodsport XIV this week, but WWE turned it down. Kross believes decision was likely due to concerns about him possibly getting injured before SummerSlam, especially with the idea of working two matches on two successive days.
Karrion Kross then admitted he was a bit disappointed, as he would have enjoyed the chance to wrestle at two major events back-to-back just for the unique experience.
“You know, it was funny. I was requested actually for this Bloodsport, but I think the concern of like maybe potentially getting injured before doing SummerSlam, working twice, they shot it down. I was a little bummed about that. I would have loved to have worked twice in one day just for the novelty of being able to say I did two amazing events back-to-back.”
The Harbinger of Doom is set to face off against Sami Zayn at the SummerSlam Premium Live Event this week. Regardless, it’s certainly disappointing that Kross didn’t compete at Bloodsport since he has history with the promotion, but nothing can be done now.
