Karrion Kross and Scarlett left WWE after their contracts expired on August 10, but believed the entire situation is a work. While speculation continues, Karrion Kross has set the record straight on that matter.
While speaking to Ariel Helwani, Karrion Kross was asked if he was trying to work the audience, and he replied that he was not, explaining he was speaking as himself, Kevin, and not in character.
“No. I’m not answering questions today as a character. This is Kevin.”
Helwani asked about his WWE contract, specifically that it had expired on August 10th and that he had not re-signed or agreed to a new deal.
“You said your WWE contract expired on August 10th. As of right now, you have not re-signed with them. You do not have a new deal with them. Is that accurate?”
Karrion Kross confirmed that the information was correct and insisted he was not working anyone, saying, “Yes, that’s accurate. I’m not working anyone.”
Following their WWE exits, Karrion Kross and Scarlett announced that they are taking bookings. WWE Corporate believes Karrion Kross and Scarlett are definitely gone from the company, so now it just remains to be seen what the future holds for Kross and Scarlett since they are clearly not part of WWE anymore.
Should Karrion Kross and Scarlett explore opportunities in AEW, NJPW, or the independent scene now that they’re gone from WWE? Sound off in the comments.
