Everyone started wondering if Karrion Kross might just end up in AEW following his WWE departure, but it seems fans shouldn’t really get their hopes up at all now.

While speaking on the Ariel Helwani Show, Ariel Helwani asked Karrion Kross if AEW had reached out to him, and Kross said they had not, saying, “No.”

When Helwani asked if he was surprised, Karrion Kross explained that he was not, as many people believe his situation is a work, saying, “No. Because a lot of people think it’s a work.”

Helwani mentioned hearing the theory that if Kross appeared in TNA, it would be seen as a work because of a perceived connection between the companies, and if he showed up in AEW, it would also be considered a work.

“They were the ones I was thinking of when you said people don’t know whether or not to reach out. Because the theory I’ve heard is if Kross shows up in TNA, then this is all a work—because they’re in cahoots. If he shows up in AEW, obviously it’s a work. Do you agree with that sentiment?”

Kross agreed, saying that many people expect him to turn up in a promotion connected to WWE and are hoping for it because the idea seems so nonsensical to them.

“Yeah, I agree. That’s what everyone is thinking. I’ve seen it. Everyone’s thinking I’m just gonna pop up in some company under the WWE umbrella. They’re hoping I do because it seems so nonsensical to people.”

This is exactly why Karrion Kross revealed that promotions are afraid to contact him since many still feel his exit is a work, even though it’s not a work at all. Nevertheless, we’ll have to see if he does end up joining AEW one day, as fans feel he might find success there if he doesn’t go back to WWE.

Should AEW take the chance and sign Karrion Kross now? Sound off in the comments.
