Karrion Kross is officially a free agent, but that hasn’t stopped WWE fans from chanting his name—and now, he’s finally responded.
During the August 15 episode of WWE SmackDown at Boston’s TD Garden, Sami Zayn opened the show with a promo directed at Solo Sikoa. But in the middle of it, fans hijacked the segment with loud “We Want Kross” chants. The crowd didn’t hold back, and now neither is Kross.
On August 18, Kross posted a video on Instagram addressing the chants head-on. With a serious tone, he made it clear that those reactions mean everything to him—and they shouldn’t be ignored by the industry.
“We want Kross. We want Kross, we want Kross. We. Can’t ignore the crowd in this business. I mean, you can try it. It’s not going to be good in the end. You don’t want to make your audience feel like they’re not a part of this. You can’t tell them that they’re a part of this and that they’re the universe and they’re so heavily involved in every aspect of it. And then, like on a whim, tell them, you know, certain subsections of them don’t matter. We can’t do that. That pisses people off. It turns people away.”
He also shared a personal story involving R-Truth, one that left a lasting impression and gave deeper meaning to the fan support he’s receiving now.
“I remember a conversation Truth had with me on a flight back from Saudi, and he pulled me aside. There was a lot said and I don’t want to be the one to say all of it because Truth said it to me. He didn’t say it publicly, but there was one thing that he said to me that I don’t think he would mind me sharing and I will never forget it. He said to me, ‘You know, you haven’t won any titles on main roster, but the one title that you have right now that you will have for the rest of your life as a moment in time is the title that the people gave you when they chose you.’ And that’s fucking real.”
It’s not just WWE where his name is making noise. Kross’ name even popped up on a fan sign during AEW Collision this week, further proving that he’s still in the conversation.
Whether he lands back in WWE, AEW, or somewhere else, one thing is clear—fans haven’t forgotten about Karrion Kross, and now he’s made it known he hasn’t forgotten about them either.
