The Big Red Machine is heading back to the ring—at least for one night.
Glenn “Kane” Jacobs is officially set to appear at Northeast Wrestling’s Wrestling Under the Stars event on Saturday, July 19, 2025. The show will take place at Eastwood Field in Niles, Ohio and includes a stacked lineup of big names from across the wrestling world. The official announcement came via Northeast Wrestling’s Twitter account:
“@newwrestling1 returns to Eastwood Field in Niles, OH for Wrestling Under The Stars on Sat, July 19th! Our guests include WWE Alumni @MariaLKanellis & @RealIslaDawn! Plus @KaneWWE @Sheltyb803 @The305MVP @SuperKingofBros & all the stars of NEW!”
This marks a rare appearance for Kane, who has mostly stayed away from pro wrestling since becoming Mayor of Knox County in 2018. His last WWE appearance was a brief cameo at SummerSlam 2022, where he announced the attendance and hit his classic pyro.
Also announced for the July event are Matt Riddle, MVP, Shelton Benjamin, Maria Kanellis, Isla Dawn, and NEW’s own tag team champs, Swipe Right—WWE ID’s Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes, who are set to defend their titles.
Kane’s appearance is one of the biggest indie bookings of the summer and gives fans a chance to see a WWE legend outside the usual spotlight.
