Kamille had been Mercedes Mone’s bodyguard for months but left the role in November after experiencing mistreatment and abuse from Mone. Since then, she has been absent from AEW television, and now it appears there are more indications that things have soured between Kamille and AEW.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, several notable names attended the Queen of the Ring New York premiere on March 4. The event featured appearances from Trish Stratus, Lita, Madusa, Jazz, Daria Berenato, Athena, Skye Blue, Deonna Purrazzo, Julia Hart, Queen Aminata, and Prince Nana.
Among the cast members in attendance were Kamille, who portrays June Byers. Kamille was also in attendance, but AEW did not include her in their social media posts about the event, which is another indication that things between AEW and Kamille are not well at the moment.
Kamille was recently asked about her move to AEW and when she might return to television, given her extended absence from AEW programming. Instead of responding, she remained silent, and her Queen of the Ring co-star Damaris Lewis spoke on her behalf. Lewis stated that Kamille had chosen not to comment on the situation but was open to answering other questions, saying, “My client has chosen not to comment on the matter at hand, but we are open for more questions.”
This comes after Kamille previously made it clear she was unhappy with how AEW used her character, as she stated that she never got a real chance to show different sides of herself.
It’s unclear if she will return to AEW to feud with Mercedes Mone. Since she has been away for a long time and AEW seems to be ignoring Kamille Competley, it seems less likely she will come back, making fans wonder what’s next for her.
