When AEW introduced former NWA Women’s World Champion Kamille as the bodyguard of TBS Champion Mercedes Mone in July 2024, there were high hopes for her future in the company. With WWE reportedly showing interest in her at the time, fans were excited to see what was next for the powerhouse wrestler. Kamille’s debut saw her work alongside Mone, but things took a turn when the two split in November. Kamille was written off AEW television after being attacked, but since then, her storyline has appeared to fizzle out.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select addressed the situation during the latest Fightful Weekly Q&A Podcast, revealing, “She’s under contract, but I’ve not heard anything regarding her on-screen future since shortly after she ‘quit’ working for Mercedes. There were some internally that wanted the two to blow off the partnership with a match, but it didn’t end up happening.”

In a December interview with CovalentTV, Kamille expressed her desire to win gold in AEW, noting that fans hadn’t yet seen the full extent of what she could bring to the company. With her contract still intact, the question remains: What’s next for Kamille in AEW? Only time will tell.
