Julia Hart isn’t shying away from addressing the swirling rumors about Malakai Black’s future in AEW. Speaking to Instinct Culture, Hart opened up about her thoughts on Black potentially departing the company and what it could mean for the House of Black faction.
“I think we’ll be okay, and whatever he decides to do with his career is his business, and I wish him all the best no matter what,” Hart said. “He has been such a great rock for me, and I appreciate everything he’s ever done with me.”
While rumors of Black finishing up with AEW remain unconfirmed, Hart expressed confidence in the faction’s ability to thrive, even if Black decides to move on. “The rumors aren’t confirmed or anything, so I don’t know what exactly is going on. Anything could be happening, we don’t know. So it’s just a matter of whatever happens, happens, and I’m happy for him no matter what happens,” Hart explained.
Despite the uncertainty, Hart believes the House of Black will continue its dominant presence in AEW. “I think House of Black will be okay [laughs]. No matter what happens. I think I’ll keep destroying the women’s locker room [laughs], and Brody and Buddy will destroy the men’s locker room. Everything will be okay, and I am happy for everybody no matter what,” she added.
Malakai Black’s future has been a major topic of discussion, earlier reports suggest that Black is expected to become a free agent by February or March of 2025. Though he hasn’t wrestled for AEW since Full Gear 2024, his contributions to the House of Black and the company are undeniable.
Julia Hart’s comments reflect a mix of gratitude and optimism, as she remains focused on her own path while supporting whatever decision Black makes.
