TNA and WWE NXT have been working together throughout 2024, creating crossover moments that had fans fantasy-booking dream matches.

When Ethan Page won the NXT Championship, many hoped his former The North tag team partner, Josh Alexander, would show up to either reunite with or challenge him. Turns out, it almost happened.

Speaking on Straight Talk Wrestling, Alexander confirmed that he was supposed to appear on NXT TV at one point, but things fell through.

“I will say that there was one certain situation where I was supposed to go, and it did not happen. There were maybe two other situations where I was asked to go, and it got shut down for whatever reason that was. No hard feelings on my end.”

Alexander acknowledged that plenty of potential stories could have been told, whether it was “The North reunited for one night only” or a one-on-one showdown with Page. Unfortunately, the timing wasn’t right, and it never materialized.

“There was a lot of stuff thrown at me at certain times. Whether it’s true or false, it just didn’t materialize for whatever reason. The timing wasn’t there for it.”

Now, Alexander is set to become a free agent on February 15, when his TNA contract expires. With TNA and WWE’s multi-year agreement still in place, the door isn’t completely closed on him making a future NXT appearance—but will it happen?
