Tessa Blanchard’s return to TNA has been nothing short of explosive, but Jordynne Grace isn’t letting her forget the past. After blindsiding Grace at TNA Final Resolution and continuing the assault on TNA iMPACT! this week, Blanchard seemed all set for a showdown at TNA Genesis—but Grace just threw a wrench in the plans.
During the January 16 episode of TNA iMPACT!, Grace walked up to the announcers’ desk and dropped a bombshell: Tessa hasn’t signed the contract for their upcoming match at Genesis. And in true Jordynne Grace fashion, she didn’t miss an opportunity to remind the world of Blanchard’s history of disappearing acts.
“If she doesn’t show up at Genesis, it wouldn’t be the first time!” Grace declared, throwing shade at Blanchard’s infamous exit in 2020 when she refused to fulfill her TNA contract and was stripped of the TNA World Championship.
Blanchard’s past with TNA is nothing short of messy. After becoming the first woman to win the company’s world title, she ghosted TNA officials during the pandemic, refusing to send in promos or return to drop the championship. This led to her contract termination and a wave of controversy that followed her throughout the industry.
Later in the show, Blanchard officially signed the contract at the ringside announce desk, seemingly putting any doubts about her commitment to rest. But Grace wasn’t done making her statement.
As soon as Blanchard put pen to paper, Grace blindsided her, attacking from behind before putting the boots to her. She then grabbed Blanchard in a chokehold, dragging her into the ring before putting her down in dominant fashion.
The attack sent a clear message—Grace is more than ready for Genesis, and she’s not letting Blanchard waltz back into TNA without a fight.
Now, with TNA welcoming her back, all eyes are on Blanchard—will she show up and fight, or will history repeat itself?
Do you think Tessa Blanchard will actually show up at TNA Genesis, or will she walk out again? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
