Jon Moxley may have walked out of AEW Worlds End as the AEW Continental Champion—but he didn’t leave unscathed.
In a brutal semifinal bout against Kyle Fletcher, Moxley took a stiff shot to the face that chipped his tooth. Despite the injury, the Purveyor of Violence powered through the match and went on to defeat Kazuchika Okada in the finals of the Continental Classic to capture the title.
AEW thhen took to Instagram and uploaded a photo that fans couldn’t stop talking about: a smiling photo of Moxley proudly showing off his chipped tooth.
“That’s the smile of a new champion!”
The post quickly went viral among AEW fans, who praised Moxley’s grit and his all-in mentality. Known for embracing violence in the ring, Moxley’s smile—complete with a chipped tooth—perfectly summed up the pain and glory of the Continental Classic.
While the tournament itself saw great performances from stars like Okada, Takeshita, and Fletcher, it was Moxley’s heart, toughness and post-match promo that stole the show. Now, with gold around his waist and one less tooth in his mouth, Moxley closed out 2025 as only he could—bruised, bloodied and victorious.
