As TNA Wrestling gears up for its massive iMPACT debut on AMC, the company is locking in key talent—and John Skyler is officially sticking around.
Skyler, a member of the Order 4 faction, confirmed on Busted Open Radio that he’s signed a new deal with TNA Wrestling. But the real story? How effortless the negotiation was.
While chatting with David LaGreca and TNA creative team member Tommy Dreamer, Skyler revealed that Dreamer personally called him with a take-it-or-leave-it offer—and he took it.
“I was getting ready to walk out my front door to go to the gym… I pick up the phone and I hear on the other end, ‘Yo. What’s going on?’ I said, ‘What’s up Tommy?’ He goes, ‘Is your contract coming up in December?’ And I said, ‘Yes, it is.’ And he goes, ‘Cool, thanks for telling me. How about this amount of money to stay?’ And I said, ‘Sounds good to me.’ ‘Sweet. Thanks for negotiating. I’ll talk to you later,’ and that was it.”
Dreamer confirmed the story on-air and laughed along, calling it their “big negotiation.”
Skyler joins fellow TNA stars Jody Threat and Cody Deaner (aka Home Town Man) in recently signing new contracts as the promotion solidifies its roster ahead of a high-profile relaunch on national TV.
