John Cena kicked off his retirement tour at the beginning of the year and he had very limited dates to begin with. With just a handful of dates left, it appears that Cena’s last match won’t be in Boston after all.

WWE has officially announced that John Cena will make his final appearances in Boston and New York City this November as part of his farewell tour. Cena will appear on Monday Night Raw at TD Garden in Boston on November 10 and then at Madison Square Garden in New York City on November 17.

This update also means Cena’s last Boston appearance will be on November 10, and the tentatively scheduled Saturday Night’s Main Event for December 13 in Boston will no longer take place there.

Before that, John Cena is set to make his final SmackDown appearance this week in Chicago as well. It’s certainly a shame that WWE decided not to have Cena’s final match in Boston, which many felt was the right place for him to end his career.

With John Cena’s farewell tour nearing its end, each appearance is carrying extra weight for fans and WWE alike. Even though his final match won’t be in Boston as some hoped, his stops at TD Garden and Madison Square Garden are sure to be powerful and emotional moments. So we’ll just have to see where his final match will take place in the end.

Do you think John Cena’s final match should have been booked in his hometown of Boston, or is Madison Square Garden the more fitting stage for his farewell? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
