John Cena isn’t afraid to joke about himself—even when it gets a little X-rated.
During a sit-down with Idris Elba for Complex’s GOAT Talk, the WWE legend turned Hollywood star reflected on the greatest rap line he’s ever written, and naturally, it came with a self-deprecating twist.
The topic came up when Idris reminded Cena that he had to answer honestly, pointing out that Cena writes his own bars and can’t dodge the question. Never one to shy away from humor, Cena delivered the line that had the internet laughing. Before dropping the line, Cena explained how he enjoys throwing in a little bravado when it comes to his lyrics—even if it’s far from the truth.
“I love a good dick joke, and I am projecting that I’m more than I am,” Cena admitted.
That’s when he recalled the NSFW punchline from one of his old raps, saying:
“So I once said, ‘They call my dick Frank White ‘cause it’s notoriously big.’ And I always thought that was clever because I have a strangely shaped small penis.”
Of course, Cena didn’t stop there. He kept the jokes rolling, doubling down on the self-roast with an image that no one saw coming.
“It’s odd-shaped. It looks like Mount Rushmore. I got mad tunic in anyway.”
The moment summed up exactly why Cena has become such a crossover success—able to laugh at himself, lean into the ridiculous, and entertain no matter what the situation calls for.
Cena and Elba were promoting their new movie Heads of State, which is now streaming on Prime Video, but it’s safe to say this interview gave fans more than just a movie plug.
