John Cena turned heads at WWE Clash in Paris 2025 when he pulled out a surprising move during his showdown with Logan PaulThe Styles Clash, made famous by none other than AJ Styles.

Following his victory, Cena addressed the moment during the post-show and gave fans a look into his mindset as his in-ring career nears its final chapter.

“I’m trying not to reflect on it too much because there’s always another match to have,” Cena said. “My favorite match is always my next one, and thanks to your perspective that I seem reinvigorated out there.”

With only eight matches left in his retirement tour, Cena acknowledged he won’t get the chance to face everyone who shaped his journey. So instead, he’s showing love in a different way.

“I’ve had a lot of opponents over the years, and with eight appearances left, I know I’m not gonna be able to wrestle everybody who was influential in my career,” he continued. “But I think you saw tonight, the best way I can say thank you to some of those people who affected my career is to kind of pay homage by maybe taking some risks and doing some stuff that I don’t normally do out there.”

He wrapped his explanation with a direct nod: “I gotta shout out AJ.”

Cena made it clear that as he heads into the final stretch, fans can expect more surprises as he continues pushing himself in the ring and giving back to the business that defined him.
