WWE is about to lose John Cena as a member of the active roster. That being said, he’s not going to be totally gone from the company. He also has a good reason to stick around for whatever he can.

During the Pat McAfee Show, John Cena revealed some Easter eggs that he had put on his final match t-shirt. He also spoke about the finality of his last WWE match. That being said, he’s not leaving WWE entirely.

During his interview, John Cena explained how he thought that his movie career was over after appearing in a few WWE Films flops. He didn’t give up by a long shot, as he simply pivoted into appearing as a host on game shows and anything else he could. Cena then explained that keeping his finger on the pulse of things is also a reason why he will keep doing something with WWE in an ambassador role.

“I started hosting live shows, I started hosting game shows. I started doing cameos on other shows, I started reading the news, stuff to keep me engaged, to keep my skills sharp. This is a reason why I want to be an ambassador for WWE, because I don’t wanna lose the pulse, I wanna keep that sharp. I wanna keep that passion there.”
