Fans at the latest WWE NXT live event in Venice, Florida, erupted when TNA star Joe Hendry made a surprise appearance. The former TNA World Champion received a loud ovation from the crowd.
According to a correspondent at the show, Hendry appeared after Brooks Jensen said his name. After a short beatdown, Hendry announced that he will be on NXT moving forward. WWE has confirmed he will face Charlie Dempsey on the August 12 edition of WWE NXT.
Hendry’s appearance comes after he told Chris Van Vliet following WrestleMania 41 that his TNA contract will expire in 2025.
With a greater role in NXT now confirmed, fans could soon be seeing more of Joe Hendry on WWE programming.
