Joe Hendry just secured the biggest win of his career, dethroning Nic Nemeth at TNA Genesis 2025 to become the TNA World Champion. Now, just days after claiming the top prize, Hendry is stepping into the unknown as he prepares to appear on live television for the first time as champion—and even he doesn’t know what to expect.

Speaking to WrestleZone’s Bill Pritchard, Hendry made it clear that anything can happen when TNA iMPACT! goes live on January 23 from San Antonio, Texas. With pro wrestling more unpredictable than ever, he’s just as in the dark as the fans about what’s coming next.

“It’s huge progress for the brand,” Hendry said. “Could you imagine that the first time that people see me after winning the championship is going to be on live TV, where anything can happen? As you know, we’re in an era in professional wrestling where absolutely anything can happen, and it’s even more explosive when it’s live.”

Hendry isn’t just hyping up the fans—he’s genuinely unsure of what’s coming. “Pro wrestling is at its very best when it’s unpredictable and you have no idea what’s going to happen. I have no idea what’s going to happen,” he admitted. “But when you add in that element of live TV, I’m telling you now, you better be there in person, or you better be watching on TV, because expect the unexpected.”
