Another name has been added to WWE’s growing list of developmental releases.

According to Cory Hays of Bodyslam.net, Jin Tala has officially been released from her WWE contract, joining a series of talent exits from the company’s ID program.

Tala had only just started making waves in the wrestling world. She debuted in 2024 and was featured during the first season of WWE LFG on A&E. Her early performances stood out enough to earn her time on WWE’s EVOLVE brand, where she even challenged for the EVOLVE Women’s Championship over the summer. Her last known match took place at an NXT live event on October 4.

This latest development follows similar announcements from Jamar Hampton and Stevie Turner, who also confirmed that their time with WWE has ended. Several of the releases appear to be part of a broader shake-up in WWE’s developmental system, particularly affecting those tied to newer projects like LFG and EVOLVE.

Jin Tala isn’t the only one let go by WWE this week. Other names released include Wes Lee, Stevie Turner, Lance Anoa’i, Drako Knox, Haze Jameson, Summer Sorrell, Brayden “BJ” Ray, and Jamar Hampton

Jin Tala’s departure raises questions about WWE’s current strategy for building new stars—and how quickly they move on from talent once spotlighted in major brand efforts.
