Jim Ross has been living in Jacksonville for the past few years due to his AEW commitments, but Good ol’ JR has just announced that he’ll be moving back to Oklahoma this year.
While speaking on Grilling JR, Jim Ross revealed that he has hired a new real estate agent to sell his condo in Jacksonville, noting that the market is strong for the type of property he is offering.
Ross purchased the condo outright with cash, so the sale will bring him a good return. With beachfront property being limited, he believes there is good profit potential, especially at this time of year. The condo is not large but is comfortable, featuring two bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, making it great for either a couple or an individual.
“I got a new real estate agent to sell my condo here in Jacksonville. The market’s good for what I’m selling. When I bought this place, I paid cash for it, so I’ll be getting a nice check. Some have already invested, but there’s good profit margins, especially at this time of year for what I’m selling. They just don’t make a lot of beachfront property.“
You’ve been here — I don’t have a big place, but it’s comfortable. It’s more than enough for a couple or an individual. Two bedrooms, two and a half baths.”
Ross explained that the sale is part of his plan to move back to Oklahoma, where he grew up and still has friends, including several doctors. At his age of 73, even in good health and cancer-free, he values having easy access to trusted medical care without complications.
Jim Ross admitted he is unsure exactly when the move will happen but expects it to be sometime this year, considering the current healthy housing market for his type of property.
“I’m moving toward that Oklahoma move because I’m going home. I love it. I’m going back to Oklahoma. I’ve got my buddies there, and several of them are doctors. I don’t have to get used to or get acquainted with new physicians. When you get to be my age at 73, even though I’m healthy right now and cancer-free, you still want to know that if you need a doctor, you can see one without jumping through hoops.“
“I don’t know exactly when it’ll all happen, but it’ll be sometime this year. The housing market for my needs is healthy right now, especially for what I’m selling.”
This comes after Jim Ross recently stated that his AEW contract will expire this month but he is hopeful a new deal will be worked out. So right now, it’s pretty clear he’s more focused on living in a familiar place, spending time with friends and making sure he has easy access to good medical care. Therefore, we’ll have to see when he properly moves back to Oklahoma this year.
