Jim Ross has responded to D-Von Dudley’s latest allegations—and this time, he’s willing to reconnect, but only behind closed doors.

On the January 8, 2026 episode of Grilling JR, Ross directly addressed D-Von’s newly shared story about an alleged racist incident that took place during WWE’s Attitude Era. While Ross strongly denied ever making such remarks, he also made it clear he’s open to mending fences—but not in public.

“No problem—I’m happy to do it. I’m just not going to put it on tape and make a show out of it. Period. How many times do I have to address it to satisfy everyone?”

Ross doubled down on his stance: he denies ever saying anything racist to D-Von and says he doesn’t even recall any heated exchanges between the two. Despite expressing confusion over D-Von’s claims, Ross said he holds no resentment—and even extended an invitation to speak privately.

“I’m not a racist. I’ve never been a racist. Ask all the African American athletes I’ve worked with throughout my 50 years. I don’t remember the first cross words I ever had with D-Von.

I have no problem reconnecting with D-Von. But D-Von—I never got mad at him. I was bewildered how this could happen, since I don’t remember any negative exchanges with him. And what I was alleged to have said was damn sure to be negative.”

Good ol’ JR closed with a sentiment that put focus on personal respect and a desire to keep the issue off-camera, as he made it clear he does like D-Von Dudley.

“I’m not interested in making it an angle. I am interested in reconnecting with D-Von—because I like D-Von.”

This marks the first time Ross has softened his tone since the feud began in late 2025, when D-Von first accused him of making racist remarks—a claim Ross initially called “absurd.” Whether the two wrestling legends will actually meet and reconcile remains to be seen, but fans are hoping for the best.

Do you think Jim Ross and D-Von Dudley should settle this privately—or should they address it publicly for accountability? Let us know what you think.
