Wrestling fans just got a dose of nostalgia they didn’t know they needed as Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler reunited today.

Ross took to Twitter and uploaded a photo of himself alongside Lawler at an Ultimate Stars Promotions event in Pittsburgh. The Hall of Fame duo were all smiles, and JR joked that while it’s chilly in Pittsburgh, they’re hot at the event.

“It’s chilly in Pittsburgh but we’re hot ahere until 2 EST.”

This comes after Good ol’ JR teased a potential reunion with Lawler during an interview on Busted Open Radio with Tommy Dreamer. At the time, the topic was a hypothetical AEW appearance featuring the two legends—possibly in Memphis. JR wasn’t opposed, but made it clear that anything more than a one-off wasn’t in the cards.

“I think so. A one-off,” Ross said about teaming up again. “I don’t think he wants to reinvest in a weekly schedule. I certainly don’t. I’m only doing pay-per-views now for Tony Khan, and I’m very comfortable with that. I’m happy with that. I’ve kind of paid my dues, and I’m content with my schedule. I’m grateful that Tony Khan respects my schedule, allowing me to live a little longer. I still get excited about it, man.”

With Lawler still making select appearances following his health battles, and JR continuing to work pay-per-views for AEW, these public reunions are becoming rare—and even more special.

Whether or not the two ever link up again on commentary, this surprise meetup is a reminder of why their voices became part of wrestling’s soundtrack for generations.
