WWE’s latest round of roster cuts left several big names without a job, but Jim Ross wants them to know this isn’t the end of the road.

The WWE Hall of Famer, who once ran the company’s Talent Relations department, knows all too well what it’s like to be the guy delivering bad news. On the latest episode of Grilling JR, Ross shared some advice for those who just got the call.

“Just stay positive and regroup. It’s not the end of the world. More opportunities will come,” Ross said, urging those affected to keep their heads up and focus on what’s next.

The released superstars include Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Giovanni Vinci, Cedric Alexander, Isla Dawn, Akam, Rezar, Paul Ellering, Blair Davenport, and Elektra Lopez. Sonya Deville also learned that her contract won’t be renewed, meaning she’ll become a free agent soon.

Ross, who’s been in the business for decades, stressed that how wrestlers handle the situation can make or break their future.

“What kills you sometimes is how these talents react to the bad news and how it makes them overtly negative, and that’s not good. Stay positive, stay in shape, improve your game, and hopefully find yourself another landing spot. There’s plenty of landing spots out there. It’s just a matter of finding the right one for you, but it’s certainly not the end of the world,” he added.

With AEW, TNA, NJPW, and a thriving independent scene, the wrestling world isn’t short on opportunities. The real question is—where will these stars land next?
