WWE fans aren’t shy about voicing their opinions, and the March 17 episode of Raw proved just that. Jey Uso’s shockingly quick victory over Austin Theory in just over a minute left many scratching their heads, and now, the YouTube numbers confirm what the reaction already suggested—people were not impressed.
As of March 19, the official clip of the match on WWE’s YouTube channel has been hit with over 61,000 dislikes and only 13,000 likes, making it one of the most negatively received match clips in recent memory.
Originally, the bout was supposed to last 11 minutes, but plans changed at the last minute. While it’s unclear if John Cena’s extended opening promo played a role in the cut, the match itself became a near-squash—something fans clearly weren’t happy about.
While Theory barely got any offense, WWE immediately pivoted to his next move. After the match, it was announced that he and Grayson Waller will team up on next week’s Raw in Glasgow to face Jey Uso and a mystery partner. Adding to the speculation, Joe Hendry responded to a teaser about appearing, leading to buzz that he might be stepping in.
Theory’s one-minute loss may have been a rough night, but the bigger question now is whether WWE has a plan to fix the damage or if fans will keep rejecting how he’s being booked. Do you think WWE should have kept the match at 11 minutes? Drop your thoughts below!
