Jey Uso booked his ticket for WrestleMania 41 after winning the men’s Royal Rumble, and despite this huge achievement, not everyone is on board with Uso’s direction. With that in mind, Jey Uso is firing back at the critics, calling out those who continue to doubt him and proving that he’s ready to silence the haters on the biggest stage of them all.

While speaking to SHAK Wrestling, Jey Uso talked about the people who doubt him going into WrestleMania 41. He said it’s been a lot to deal with, especially after the Royal Rumble. He hears and sees what people are saying, but he’s not sure if they were just mad that their favorite didn’t win, or if they just don’t think he deserves to win something that big.

Uso said now that he’s facing GUNTHER for the World Heavyweight Title, more people are criticizing him. Jey notes how people think he is not championship material at all and does not deserve the title. He pointed out how critics claim he only uses a few moves and gets chances because of his family. Jey Uso feels like he’s had to work hard for everything he’s earned.

Jey Uso talked about his time in the Bloodline story, his great tag team matches, and his good one-on-one matches. He’s wrestled GUNTHER before and even though he lost, he said the matches were strong. He also mentioned a match he had with Seth Rollins on Raw that fans still talk about, even if it didn’t get a lot of attention. Every week, Jey said he’s just trying to prove himself again.

“Kind of been a lot. It was, cuz you know, you hear ’em out there. I see ’em out there. Um, I don’t really… I didn’t even know what — I don’t know if they were just upset, cuz I know there were a bunch of heavy hitters in the Royal Rumble. Like, maybe their fan favorite didn’t win or whatever, or maybe they just think I’m not the type of guy or caliber to win a Royal Rumble.

It’s cool though. Like I said, I think they’re going to pick me apart now, cuz now I’m the guy, I guess. I’m the guy going against GUNTHER now for the World Heavyweight Championship. People say, ‘He’s not — he’s not championship material. I don’t think he is, cuz he only just does like three moves, and he’s from this family. And I think just cuz he’s from this family, he gets his opportunities.’

When really, man, it’s all good, cuz I bust my ass to get here. And you really can run it back — the whole Bloodline storyline, I had great tag matches, and I really do have good singles matches. Run it back, I had a bunch of good singles matches with Gunther already, even though I lost to him. It was 0-and-4, 0-and-3, whatever it is.

I had a banger on Raw with Seth — Seth Rollins on Raw. People still talk about that one like it’s under the radar. It’s all good though. I just gotta knock ’em down. Every week, prove myself.”

When asked about hate online, Jey Uso said he doesn’t really get the internet wrestling scene. He joked that he doesn’t even know who those people are, because they just sit behind a keyboard.

Jey Uso said if they came to a WWE show and felt the energy in the arena, they might see things differently. Uso ended by saying that when the whole crowd is chanting and having fun, people might change their minds about him, and at least, they’d enjoy the show.

“Yeah, cuz I don’t even know like — the internet wrestling… like what? I don’t know what that is. Is that a person? Like what y’all look like? You feel me? Cuz if you come to these arenas, bro, and feel this in person — in person — you can sit behind the keyboard, but I don’t know what that is, you know?

But I’m out there shaking arenas, Uce and they matter more. And you want to be out there, cuz the whole arena’s gonna be doing this, and you gonna want to get some in too. Like, come to one of these shows one time, Uce, and it might change your opinion. At least you’ll have fun.”

Jey Uso is 100% determined to defeat GUNTHER and become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania 41. Therefore, we’ll have to wait and see if he can truly redeem himself at the Showcase of the Immortals.
