The 2025 WWE Royal Rumble Premium Live Event had loads of surprises in store for fans and that especially included Jey Uso winning the Men’s Royal Rumble match, guaranteeing his spot at WrestleMania 41. In fact, he has now revealed what John Cena told him after his huge win.

While speaking on Night Cap, Jey Uso revealed what John Cena told him after he won the Royal Rumble match. Uso stated that Cena came into the ring, hugged him, and reminded him about his first tour.

Cena told Jey Uso that he always knew he and his brother would be fine if they stayed true to themselves. Cena then turned Jey toward the crowd to show him the support from the fans. Jey expressed his love for Cena and called him one of the greatest of all time.

“I will, um, you know, say some real s*** man. He came in the ring, and if you watch it back, he did come in the ring. He came in the ring. After—after I thought I was about to, damn, do it again—his ass threw his ass out one more time.

But he—he said, he said, ‘Hey man,’ uh, he hugged me. He goes, he goes, ‘I remember your first tour.’ I said, ‘I always told you and your brother you guys will be fine. Be yourself.’ And he—and he goes, he goes, ‘Look at these people now.’ And that’s when he turned me to the crowd, and, you know, they were just—they were just hitting it, man. So yeah, man, love for John Cena. You know, he’s a GOAT.”

In the final moments of the match, Jey Uso, John Cena, and Logan Paul were the last three standing. Cena wasted no time eliminating Logan Paul, setting up a very tense battle with Uso on the apron. After a hard-fought exchange, Uso countered an Attitude Adjustment and pushed Cena out as he secured the victory, earning his spot at WrestleMania 41.

We have also reported that Jey Uso was planned to win the Men’s Royal Rumble as early as the beginning of January, or possibly even back in December. For now, Jey Uso is focused on his upcoming match against GUNTHER at WrestleMania 41 for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, as he is determined to beat The Ring General and cement his legacy in WWE. No matter what, Jey Uso will always appreciate everything John Cena did for him, and that’s never changing.
