Jey Uso has finally broken his silence on the backlash surrounding his controversial one-minute victory over Austin Theory on WWE Raw.

Fans weren’t happy about the match being cut drastically short, and the numbers don’t lie—over 61,000 dislikes on WWE’s YouTube clip of the bout as of March 19.

Now, Jey has responded in his own way. Taking to Instagram Stories, the Royal Rumble winner posted a moody shot of himself standing in a dimly lit stairwell. The words above him read, “Crash Out Jey”, while the caption below simply states, “Lawd Help Me.” The post was soundtracked by 2Pac’s “Ambitionz Az A Ridah”, a song known for its aggressive, defiant energy—possibly signaling Jey’s mindset heading into WrestleMania 41.

Originally, his match against Theory was scheduled to last 11 minutes, but it was cut down at the last second. While it’s unclear if John Cena’s extended promo affected the timing, the end result was Theory getting demolished in record time—something fans weren’t thrilled about.

Despite the backlash, WWE wasted no time setting up Jey’s next move. He’s now set to team with a mystery partner against Theory and Grayson Waller on next week’s Raw in Glasgow. Joe Hendry has fueled speculation that he could be stepping in, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
