Logan Paul isn’t letting Jey Uso take all the credit for “Yeet.” The former United States Champion recently claimed that he was the original one to use the catchphrase—long before Main Event Jey made it a viral sensation in WWE.

Paul, who is known for stirring the pot, dropped the claim while promoting his upcoming IMPAULSIVE podcast episode featuring Michael Cole. In the trailer, he casually told Cole, “I was the original Yeet, by the way.” Cole, clearly entertained, fired back with a question: “So did Jey steal it from you?” Without missing a beat, Paul responded, “Yes, and I am sending him a cease and desist.”

To back up his claim, Paul even attached footage from an old music video where he used the phrase, implying that Jey ran with something he started.

Uso has been riding a massive wave of popularity ever since he broke away from The Bloodline and went solo on Raw. His “Yeet” chant has taken on a life of its own, with fans screaming it every time he makes his entrance. After winning the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble and choosing to challenge Gunther at WrestleMania 41, he’s arguably one of the most over stars in WWE today.

Whether Paul is joking or actually trying to claim ownership over “Yeet”, one thing’s for sure—this could turn into something bigger if Jey decides to fire back.

Who do you think really started “Yeet”? Should Jey Uso respond to Logan Paul’s claim? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
