Je’Von Evans is finally responding to Kevin Nash’s controversial remarks — and instead of firing back, he’s taking a completely different approach.
After Nash doubled down on his earlier remarks about Je’Von Evans — including references to “Mr. Bojangles” and “Uncle Tom” that sparked heavy criticism online- Evans has now addressed the situation for the first time while speaking to Adrian Hernandez. Instead of clapping back, he brushed it off and flipped the narrative completely.
“Man, hey, bro, if you’re not doing anything right, bro, they’re not talking about you, you know what I mean? If you’re not doing something right, nobody’s going to talk about you.”
That’s how he sees it. Rather than treating the situation like a problem, Evans made it clear he views the attention — even negative — as proof he’s making noise. He also threw in a subtle shot, suggesting not everyone speaking on him is doing it for the right reasons.
“Usually, I feel like if you’re doing something right or if they’ve got your name in their mouth, you’re grinding, you know what I mean? Like, some people have to do that just so they can get views or whatever.”
That’s as far as he went. From there, Evans shut down any idea that he’s changing anything because of the controversy, making it clear he’s staying exactly who he is.
“Either way, at the end of the day, the young OG’s going to keep on doing his thing… Young OG going to keep on being Javon Evans, you know what I mean? No matter who likes it or doesn’t like it.”
He leaned into his mindset as well— pointing out he’s still early in his journey and not letting outside noise take away from that. And then came the bottom line, making it clear WWE is obviously happy with him.
“I’m going to keep on being 21 — well, I’m going to be 22 soon, then 23, all that… but either way, bro, I’m going to keep on having fun. Literally me being me got me to where I’m at today… so apparently I’m doing something right, because my bosses love me.”
While Nash is still standing by what he said, Evans isn’t engaging in the back-and-forth — he’s keeping it moving, staying confident, and letting his work speak for itself.
