Becky Lynch isn’t just upset with her opponents—she’s got serious heat with WWE referee Jessika Carr.

On the October 20 episode of WWE RAW at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, Lynch defended her WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Maxxine Dupri. While she retained the title, she technically lost the match by disqualification—her second straight loss to Dupri.

Carr officiated not only the 10/20 match but also Lynch’s loss via count-out on the 10/6 RAW and her tap-out loss at WrestlePalooza on 9/20. After this string of results, Lynch took to Instagram on Tuesday to vent about what she sees as biased officiating.

“In the match, clear as day, everybody saw it,” Lynch said. “Maxxine closed-fist punch to my face. An illegal maneuver. Jessika Carr should have disqualified her.”

She didn’t stop there—Lynch alleged that Dupri’s nails were a foreign object, claiming expert support.

“What’s more, an illegal maneuver with an illegal object. I verified this through experts, through nail technicians. They have verified that the nails that Maxxine Dupri was wearing would cause intense damage to the lip.”

Carr wasn’t about to let that slide. She responded on X the following day, calling out Lynch for her pattern of excuses and deflecting blame.

“I don’t say a lot or stir up issues,” Carr posted. “But it’s wild that someone keeps talking about me….when all they’ve been doing is tapping out, getting counted out, and taking the easy way out by getting disqualified.”

“But I’m the problem?” she added.

While the tension between Lynch and Carr is currently playing out on social media, it may not stay there for long. Carr, who previously wrestled under the name Kennedi Brink before becoming WWE’s first full-time female referee, has quietly returned to in-ring action. She competed under a mask as “Kalyx” on WWE EVOLVE back in February and April, which aired on Tubi.

The growing friction might just be planting the seeds for Carr’s full-time in-ring return—and Lynch could be her first target.
