Jesse “The Body” Ventura just dropped a verbal body slam on Donald Trump—and this time, it’s all about the WWE Hall of Fame.

The former Minnesota Governor and WWE Hall of Famer didn’t hold back on the Independent Americans podcast. Ventura said he’s furious that Trump is in the WWE Hall of Fame while legitimate wrestling legends like Ken Patera are still left out.

“He’s in the wrestling Hall of Fame. I’m angry—very angry. And here’s why. I have friends who are not in the Hall of Fame. One in particular, Olympian Ken Patera… Well, guess what? He’s not in the Hall of Fame, and Trump is.”

He then compared Trump’s path to the Hall with his own—making it clear that the hard work and relentless schedule it took for him to earn the honor.

“Do you know how you get into the Hall of Fame? You do what I had to do. Do you know what I did one time? True story—I wrestled 63 consecutive nights in a row without a day off. And there are people who would destroy that. There are guys who did more than that. But that’s how you get into the Hall of Fame.”

According to Ventura, Trump didn’t wrestle, tour, or even contribute creatively. He simply rented venues—and made money doing it. Ventura made it clear he’s considered walking away from the Hall entirely over Trump’s inclusion.

“You know why he got in? Because he provided us two buildings. I think WrestleMania Five and Six, where he probably made millions renting us his buildings. And for that, Vince McMahon puts him in the Hall of Fame. It’s a disgrace. I’ve almost gone public and said I’m resigning from the Hall of Fame because Trump is in it and he doesn’t qualify.”

He then tied his criticism back to Trump’s track record of seeking honors he hasn’t earned—like the Nobel Peace Prize. Ventura also recalled an idea he had to mock Trump’s lack of military service by offering him his own Navy discharge—just so Trump could pretend he served.

“Like everything he does, he’s not qualified—just like when he wants the Nobel Peace Prize. Paul, you know what I wanted to do? I wanted to call a meeting with Trump, and I was going to give him my honorable discharge. That way he’d have one. Only thing is, his name wouldn’t be on it, but he could still hold it up. He could have a discharge from the United States Navy. I offered to do that. Mr. Trump, I’ll offer you a discharge from the United States Navy so you can pretend you served.”

The whole rant wasn’t just about WWE—it was about what Ventura sees as a pattern of Trump stepping into spaces he hasn’t earned, while others with real credentials get ignored. Ventura’s Hall of Fame protest may not be official yet, but he’s made one thing very clear: if you haven’t put in the work, you don’t deserve the spot.
