Jelly Roll isn’t just showing up for another musical cameo — he’s stepping inside the ring at WWE SummerSlam 2025.

According to a new report from PWInsider, the country star and actor has been training to make his official WWE in-ring debut, and it’s locked in for SummerSlam weekend, set for August 2 and 3 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ.

The report also notes that Jelly Roll will appear on this Friday’s SmackDown to kick off the storyline that leads to his match. He’s expected to align with a top babyface, though PWInsider confirmed it won’t be Cody Rhodes.

This isn’t some out-of-nowhere stunt, either. Jelly Roll has long been open about wanting to step into the squared circle, even hinting in the past that he was dropping weight for the opportunity. That time is now.

Last year at SummerSlam 2024, he lit up the crowd by performing “America The Beautiful” and “Liar,” before getting physical — smashing chairs over Grayson Waller and Austin Theory and joining The Awesome Truth for a 15-Knuckle Shuffle that brought the house down.

WWE officials were reportedly “very happy” with his performance, and internal chatter has pointed to his July 11 SmackDown return being the start of something more. Now we know — Jelly Roll is lacing up his boots.

Jelly Roll going from chart-topper to rope-dropper might be one of the wildest SummerSlam twists yet — but if there’s one thing WWE loves, it’s a big entrance and an even bigger moment. Whether he’s throwing punches or just vibing with the crowd, you can bet his in-ring debut is going to turn heads in MetLife.
