The feud between Jeff Jarrett and MJF in AEW has reached a boiling point, and Jarrett isn’t holding back.
After MJF took a personal shot at Jarrett during the January 15 episode of AEW Dynamite, accusing him of exploiting his friendship with Owen Hart, Jarrett fired back on his podcast with some choice words about the AEW World Champion.
“I kind of went back and forth on just giving MJF even the most little bit of rebuttal of his nonsense,” Jarrett said, referring to MJF’s penchant for verbal takedowns. “You kind of go over the history of MJF, whether it’s Adam Cole, or Punk, or any of his feuds, he likes to verbally joust, and to me, it’s passe. He wants to go there, I’ll go there and much further.”
Jarrett doubled down on his own declaration from Dynamite: “Like I told him in the promo, that may be one of the truest lines that I’ll ever tell, old Max. I was you because you were you.”
But Jarrett didn’t stop there. He went on to call MJF a “one-hit wonder” and suggested the AEW Champion isn’t as sharp as he used to be. “We have both talked offline; we really believe he is an incredible talent, but I think he’s lost his way,” Jarrett said. “The one-hit wonder line stuck, and to me, it’s more appropriate than I thought, but I said it almost tongue in cheek. But man, I believe he’s lost his way.”
Jarrett also revealed that MJF felt the sting of their latest confrontation. “He got a little bit of a receipt, he’ll have a few more coming. He covered his eyes up like a little bitch, and I guarantee his knuckles are as sore as his eye was.”
This feud is clearly far from over, and with emotions running high, fans can only guess what’s next as these two continue to push the boundaries of personal animosity.
