Jeff Hardy left it all in the ring at TNA Bound For Glory 2025, but his latest daredevil move came at a price. During the Hardys’ emotional tables match against Team 3D, Jeff delivered a wild Swanton Bomb from the top of a ladder onto D-Von Dudley—and walked away with a painful injury.

On The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt Hardy shared an update on his brother’s condition, confirming that Jeff suffered a deep gash on the back of his head that needed medical attention after the stunt.

“Yeah, Jeff had a big gash in the back of his head that had to be glued. They could’ve stitched it or glued it, but he did have a pretty bad cut.”

But what made the moment even more intense was what Matt revealed next—Jeff intentionally came up short on the move to avoid seriously injuring D-Von.

“Looking back, I think Jeff didn’t want to crush D-Von when he landed, so he came up a little short on purpose. He kind of sacrificed himself to make it easier on D-Von.”

Despite the injury, the Hardys won the match in what turned out to be the final in-ring appearance for Bully Ray and D-Von, who officially retired afterward. For Jeff, the moment wasn’t just about the win—it was about honoring his opponents, even if it meant taking the harder hit.

The Swanton Bomb might have opened up a nasty cut, but it also proved Jeff Hardy is still willing to put his body on the line—not just for fans, but to protect his fellow wrestlers.
