Judgment Day’s JD McDonagh is officially sidelined — and he’s letting fans know why.

The WWE Superstar took to his Instagram Story and uploaded a photo, revealing that he’s checked into the hospital and is undergoing surgery. The photo showed him laying back with his hand in a cast, confirming that the injury was no longer something he could fight through.

“Been working through some stuff for the last few months, but now it’s time to pump the brakes and get put back together. Won’t be long. BRB.”

While McDonagh didn’t specify the exact injury, his message makes it clear he’s been pushing through pain for the past few months before deciding to finally hit pause. The image of his casted hand suggests this could be a hand or wrist-related surgery.

The last time McDonagh competed in the ring was on the November 24, 2025 episode of Monday Night Raw, where he faced Rey Mysterio in singles competition and lost in the end.

McDonagh’s decision to step away for surgery shows he’s thinking long-term — and hopefully, it means we’ll see a healthier, more dangerous version of him when he does come back.
