Paige Collette isn’t just a character on JCW Lunacy—her real-life story might just stop you in your tracks.

During an emotional interview with Vince Russo, the woman fans know as “The Ring Rat” revealed that she died on the operating table… and claims she met Jesus. Paige, who suffers from a rare neurological condition called CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome), detailed the experience that left Russo—completely speechless. The former ballerina-turned-wrestler explained that she coded during surgery while doctors were still trying to understand her disease.

“I was in surgery and I coded… I didn’t even believe in God. But when I woke up from surgery and told them what I saw, they said, ‘You don’t dream during surgery. But we did almost lose you.’”

What she says she experienced next was nothing short of surreal. In her words, it wasn’t heaven—but something in between.

“It was like lavender clouds… complete peace… no pain. A horde of people with smiles… I felt love. Every inch of me was penetrated with just love.”

“Jesus approached me. I couldn’t even look at him. I was like, ‘I don’t believe in you. Why are you here? Go to someone who deserves this.’ And he told me, ‘You’re loved. It’s not your time. I need you to do that for me.’ Then I came back.”

Collette now believes she’s alive for a reason—and that reason goes beyond the wrestling ring. She’s working on a book (Wrestling With CRPS) and plans to use it to fund a research facility for rare diseases. And while her JCW gimmick might turn heads, her true mission is spiritual and personal.

“I didn’t believe in God anymore. And God showed up anyway.”

In a world where gimmicks come and go, Paige Collette’s story is something very real. Whether or not you believe in near-death experiences, you can’t deny she’s wrestling with something bigger than a storyline.

Are stories like this what wrestling—and life—really need more of? Or do you think it blurs the line between entertainment and real pain too far? Drop your thoughts below and tell us how this one made you feel.
