Triple H recently took a much-needed break with Stephanie McMahon and their kids in Mykonos, Greece, but not everyone on the internet was in a vacation mood.
After photos surfaced showing the WWE executive in swim trunks on a yacht, some fans took to social media to mock his appearance, hairstyle, and even his choice of swimwear. That didn’t sit well with JBL — and he unleashed a verbal beatdown that might’ve left a few trolls regretting their tweets.
During Something to Wrestle LIVE, JBL didn’t hold back as he addressed the backlash over TMZ’s vacation photos. The WWE Hall of Famer called out the online critics who targeted Triple H’s looks and legacy with zero hesitation.
“He’s on a yacht in Greece, and the only thing you can say is, ‘Oh, you know, as a 50-year-old guy, he doesn’t look like he did when he was 20?’ Really, you [bleep]?”
JBL then flipped the tables, reminding everyone just how privileged Triple H’s position is — and how most people criticizing him wouldn’t dare compare themselves to the Game.
“Would you trade with him? Would you trade him for the bank account and for the yacht and for his position? I think nearly everybody would. And go and don’t forget to go to your high school reunion this year and look at all the people around and see about how normal people look. And don’t forget to look in the mirror yourself — you bunch of fat bastards!”
The rant took a serious turn when JBL brought up Triple H’s near-fatal heart issue, pointing out that the fact he’s even alive — much less on a yacht in paradise — should be celebrated, not criticized.
“He had a heart attack, almost died. He’s lucky to not be in a freaking casket right now somewhere buried. And he’s on a yacht in Greece living his life with his beautiful wife… and you’re online talking shit while eating Cheerios in your mom’s basement?”
JBL’s rant struck a nerve for many — some found it hilarious, others thought it was too harsh. But one thing’s for sure: JBL’s loyalty to Triple H runs deep, and he’s not tolerating any disrespect toward his longtime friend.
