Jazmyn Nyx isn’t hanging up her boots for good—at least not yet.
In a new interview on Outside the Ring with Ryan, the former WWE NXT star opened up about her life post-WWE and made it crystal clear: she plans to step back into the ring.
“I miss it every day.”
Nyx said leaving WWE was one of the toughest decisions she’s had to make, but it was necessary. Now, she’s ready to explore new options. While she’s not rushing into anything major, she did confirm she’ll be doing autograph signings and could pop up on the independent wrestling scene sooner rather than later.
“Sometimes you have to make tough choices. For sure I want to wrestle again. Yeah. Um, starting off with some signings obviously, and then I might dibble and dabble in the indies. So we’ll see what’s next. I might do some shows, too. So I’m kind of just… whatever comes, comes.”
Her comments come after a lot of speculation about her next move—and they squash any doubts about whether she’s still passionate about wrestling.
Before this, Nyx had already addressed why she walked away from WWE in the first place—and it all came down to money. During an earlier chat with The Ariel Helwani Show, Nyx revealed that while she loved wrestling, the job wasn’t financially sustainable anymore.
“In terms of cost of living and things like that, there’s nothing you can really say — cost of living goes up every year. You have to make a living. If you don’t get a raise, you’re basically losing money. That’s how I looked at it. I just felt like, at the time, I had to make the decision for myself.”
She also gave a raw look into the real price of being a WWE Superstar—especially as a woman on TV every week. From gear to glam to constant travel, Nyx said it started to feel like she was spending more than she was making.
“Yes, it was a struggle. It felt like I was losing money instead of gaining. I was already paying my own rent, being an independent woman trying to handle everything. You pay for gear, you pay for makeup — for women, there are a lot more expenses, especially in WWE. New outfits every week, being on TV every Tuesday — it was constant, back-to-back costs that I felt weren’t being covered.”
Now, with WWE in the rearview for the moment, Nyx is focused on rebuilding her brand her way—and doing it on her terms.
