Jazmyn Nyx left WWE NXT following a financial disagreement, but that wasn’t the only controversy she’s seen. There have been a few things that went down that the former Fatal Influence member had to address.

Speaking on the Ariel Helwani Show, Jazmyn Nyx defended herself from the accusations that Bully Ray put on her that she doesn’t have a passion for pro wrestling. He said that this was the case because she came in as a soccer player, and not a pro wrestler. Nyx had a lot to say about that point.

I really respect him, I think there’s nothing wrong with what he’s saying. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. It’s not like we know each other on a personal level, so he won’t know for sure if that passion burns within me.”

“When it comes from, yes I played soccer and had a passion for soccer, and training I had to put myself through a lot to be successful in that, and the same with WWE, you have to work hard.”

I think just because my journey was a little different doesn’t mean I don’t have passion or building passion to the future of WWE, making it to main roster, I for sure have passion. I think that was a little of a hard take but everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and if that’s how he perceives me, that is what it is, and that’s what people do say when athletes come in. I’ve never been like that, you can’t put your all into something if you don’t have passion. The stuff I’ve already done, the work I put in both on and off TV, I personally don’t think it’s possible to do all of that without having passion or love for what I’m doing.”

That wasn’t the only controversy she’s been involved with in recent memory. Her boyfriend, Bryton Constantin, also drew some heat from Mark Henry on Busted Open Radio, and others, after calling pro wrestling fake in a social media video.

Jazymn Nyx also mentioned the heat that her boyfriend drew in the pro wrestling world. Mark Henry spoke out about this on Busted Open Radio. Nyx has gone on to defend him as well.

Nyx explained the point of her boyfriend’s video. It was actually satirical, where her boyfriend continued to learn how real pro wrestling is after calling it fake.

“So, the whole point of the video, and if you watch the video, you can see that it was satire. He knows, I come home with bruises and scratches and a broken nose, obviously he knows it’s not fake. We have this conversation every day, if anyone, he’s like ‘oh my– how do you do this every day? He’s the first person to put it over. His character — just like how there are heels in WWE, there are villains in reality TV, and he’s a villain. So, I think that’s how people have to look at it in terms of that. But when he says it’s fake, he says it’s fake and then goes on to show in the video that basically, it’s the opposite. He’s hitting the ropes, like ‘oh my — my back! How do you do this?!’ He’s taking bumps. He’s getting his butt beat by me, so obviously, he knows that’s the whole point of the video — basically putting it over, you know?”

Ariel Helwani asked if he could have used a different word other than fake, because that is a triggering word, she did admit that it was a wrong choice of words. That being said, there was no ill intention behind her boyfriend’s video.

Jazmyn Nyx admitted that the negotiation process as drawn out, but her story in pro wrestling isn’t over yet. Nyx has already confirmed she would consider a return to WWE, but they will have to offer her more money.
