Jazmyn Nyx left WWE NXT due to a financial disagreement over her new contract. The company proposed a three-year deal with the same $75,000 annual salary as her previous agreement. Since she was working both TNA and NXT on some weekends without a break, Nyx wanted more compensation. WWE didn’t budge on that.

During an appearance on the Ariel Helwani Show, Jazmyn Nyx spoke about her departure from WWE. After all, this was not an experience she expected at all, because she loved the work she was doing in WWE.

She said that the company refused to budge from her original offer in that three-year deal. This was also not something she expected, and there is also no bad blood at all between the two sides.

“I can truthfully say that I was not expecting to leave WWE. I thought this was going to be my life, and I was going to put in the work and see where this journey took me, but it came down to, like making a living. Everyone needs to make a living, and some people’s living looks different than others, but for me, it was like, after my three years and being on TV for two years, I expected there to be some sort of compensation, just you know, for the work that I put in, and it didn’t end up that way, and that’s okay, but that’s why I had to part ways.”

There was no bad blood or anything, but it was like ‘I can’t make a living on this,’ and I value myself in this way where you guys might not yet, but who knows, in the future, value goes up, and in the future if they want me back, I’d love to go back. But, it was just in that time and that moment, it felt like the right decision for me, but in that moment, you gotta do what you gotta do.”

“So, it was honestly, kind of a long process for me. Because, it was a back-and-forth situation. Basically, they reach out and say ‘this is what we’re offering you for the next three years,’ and you either accept right then and there, or you try to negotiate, and I tried to negotiate.”

Jazmyn Nyx has already cashed in on a new project after leaving WWE. Only time will tell where she goes next, but she will certainly want to be paid for her time.

She has also admitted that she’d return to WWE if the company offered her a better deal. In the meantime, she is setting the record straight about the whole ordeal.
