While James Ellsworth didn’t appear on during the SmackDown 1000 broadcast, he was featured in a backstage segment with Mike Rome where he seemed unhappy about not being used on the show.
“I’m a SmackDown Live Legend, I should have been on the show. I showed up, ready to go. I brought my gear bag and Paig said, “What are you doing James? I fired you.” It’s not fair, I should have been on SmackDown 1000. In fact, I should be on SmackDown 1001, SmackDown 1002, SmackDown 1003, SmackDown 1004, SmackDown 1005…”
