NXT star Jaida Parker isn’t here for the hate on her finisher. The Hipnotic—her running hip attack—has sparked debate among fans, with some calling for her to switch it up. But Parker? She’s not changing a damn thing.
Appearing on No-Contest Wrestling with O’Shea Jackson Jr. and TJ Jefferson, Parker shut down the criticism in brutal fashion. “Not to be disrespectful but, if I were to use another one, then I wouldn’t be Jaida Parker. Because that Hipnotic is Jaida Parker.”
She doubled down, making it clear that just because some fans don’t get it, doesn’t mean she’s changing it. “I understand people don’t like it, they don’t understand it. Well, you’re not me. You’re not gonna understand and you’re not gonna like it but I promise you, if I sit your ass down right here and I run at you like I run at them, you not gonna get up.”
Parker, a former LSU Lady Tigers soccer player, even broke down the real-world impact of her move. “My Hipnotic, it comes from soccer because if you really wanna get hip-checked in soccer, I will make you fly about 30 yards, if we’re being honest, having that type of momentum.”
And if anyone still thinks they have a say in how she wrestles, Parker had a blunt response: “If people don’t understand it or don’t want to accept it, that’s not my problem. That sounds like a personal problem.”
While she’s not changing Hipnotic, Parker did tease a possible evolution of the move. “So it’s okay, and no, I’m not gonna change my finisher. I’m not. I might upgrade it, but I’m not changing it.”
As for those who keep trying to tell her how to wrestle? “I can only go up from here and there’s so many people, ‘Oh, you need to get this, you need to get that.’ Well, I think you need to mind your damn business. Unless you wanna get hit with that by yourself but, to each their own.”
