The tension between Jade Cargill and Shayna Baszler just got even messier, as yet another resurfaced tweet is adding fuel to the fire.
After reports came out that Cargill was “disappointed in herself” and “apologetic backstage” following the incident with Baszler in Scotland, fans started connecting the dots to old tweets from last year—including posts from Chelsea Green and Baszler herself. Now, an even bigger piece of the puzzle has been uncovered.
Cargill had actually quote-tweeted Baszler’s June 17, 2024, post—where Baszler praised Zoey Stark for nailing “3 perfect springboards” while seemingly taking a shot at someone struggling with the ropes. Many speculated at the time that Baszler’s comment was directed at Cargill, who had reportedly tapped out in an unplanned finish during their match.
Cargill’s since-deleted response? “I’m sorry that no one came to see you two. I clapped inside though 🥺👉🏽👈🏽 I was hoping that would help you. You little ‘pick me’ 😎.”
The tweet speaks for itself, and the fact that it was later deleted only makes it more suspicious. With the Elimination Chamber promo stirring up backstage chatter once again, this resurfaced exchange is reminding everyone that the tension between Cargill and Baszler may not be entirely buried.
